Ginna Green

Founder and Principal

Ginna Green is a strategist, writer, wise guide, and movement-builder; Founder and Principal at Horizon Philanthropy, and Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at Uprise, where she leads the practice on philanthropic advising within the Jewish community and is a principal strategist for its progressive movement and Jewish social justice sector clients. 

Previously, she worked as Chief Strategy Officer at Bend the Arc: Jewish Action, where she managed the communications, advocacy, electoral, rapid response and racial equity teams from 2018-2020. Prior to Bend the Arc, Ginna was Managing Director of the Democracy Program at ReThink Media, and before that spent several years on staff at the Center for Responsible Lending. She is a frequent speaker and writer on democracy, race, antisemitism, and Jewish community, and has been published in the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, and Salon, and heard on NPR, KCRW, KQED, and CNN.

Ginna sits on the boards of Bend the Arc, Women’s March, and Jewish Story Partners, the Leadership Team of the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable, and the Advisory Council of Jewish Women’s Archive Jewish Women of Color Pomegranate Writing Fellowship. An alum of the Wexner Heritage, Jeremiah Fellowship, Selah Leadership and Schusterman Fellowship programs, and a Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance 2020 Notable Woman, Ginna is a native southerner, the mother of four amazing kids, a better-than-decent cook, and a big fan of good bourbon.

Becky Silverstein

Principal

Rabbi Becky Silverstein believes in the power of community, Torah, and compassion to transform the world. He strives to build a Jewish community and world that encourages and allows everyone to live a life that reflects their inherent divinity / dignity. Becky currently holds the role of principal at both Horizon Philanthropy and Sobelstein Giving and is the Interim Executive Director of Synagogues Rising. Most recently, Becky was a member of the faculty at SVARA: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva and a co-director of the Trans Halakha Project. Becky is a proud member of the Solidaire community. Becky serves on the boards of Bend the Arc, Diaspora Alliance, and The Shalom Center. 

Becky grew up in New York and holds a B.S. in Engineering from Smith College and Rabbinic Ordination from the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College. Becky resides in Massachusetts with his spouse, Naomi Sobel, and kiddos, for whom they make pancakes almost every Sunday morning.
